Somehow we managed to coordinate our jackets one morning. I love them so.
Just a mom trying to keep memories of her two girls since "life with two girls" makes it difficult to get to the scrapbook...but I'm always at the computer.

New year 2015
We celebrated the new year with an hour by hour count down. 4pm to 7pm that is. Each hour had a different activity to complete. We then watched a cut countdown that Netflix produced and off to bed at 7pm for them. I'm pretty sure I went to bed at 10pm.

Kinder packet
I love my Monday and Fridays with Hailey. But on this day we picked up her kindergarten registration packet. She's so excited to start. I on the other had, will miss my special time with her.
Birthday gorge
We go through this every year with both girls a month before their birthdays. This is Hailey's breakfast plate. It had pancakes, blueberries and yogurt. She NEVER cleans her plate. Well, it's a month before her birthday! Perfect timing.
Map
The floor map they put together that they received from Uncle GUM for Christmas. I told them to look out for the smallest state...of course it was missing from the package. Oy!
Light rail downtown
For the MLK Jr holiday my mom and I took the girls downtown to the Arizona Science Center via the light rail. We got on he light rail in Mesa and went all the way to downtown Phoenix. It was a super fun day with a adventurous ride, science discoveries (they even had an exhibit about the dyslexic brain), an IMAX movie about the Galapagos Islands and a picnic lunch we brought to the center.

Tea party
Brian's mom sent the girls a real ceramic tea party set along with cute chairs for their dollies. The went right to work when it arrived and had a tea party with their dollies. Such fun for them.
Candlemas
We celebrated Candlemas this year which is one that the girls really love because it signifies that the we are halfway through winter and the days are getting longer...which in turn means summer is coming along with a warm swimming pool. May your inner light continue to shine!
Art class
The school has ton of after school programs located at the school. Private companies come on campus and provide sports, art, day care, etc. It's nice for the kiddos because the teachers can just drop them off to the classroom their class is in when school gets out. I signed Paige up for an art class after school on Wednesdays. She is loving it. Here's her first project.
Brian & Hailey
The girls wake up every morning between 6:30 and 7am. Since we really don't have to be out of bed til 7am to be on time, they come get in bed with us and watch a show while we still snooze. Hailey loves to snuggle with Brian.

Cars
For the last month the girls have been working on learning the auto symbols. They have pretty much learned them all and name each and every car we drive by. On. Every. Single. Car. Ride. It actually makes me happy as this was a weakness of Paige's in her dyslexia testing...which was associating symbols with what they should match with. I.e., a picture of an apple on a juice box would be associated with containing apple juice. In her testing, she didn't connect those two things. But she is clearly starting to get those brain synapses connected and can identify cars, their symbols and their names.
Along with this game also goes determining what kind of car they each want. They have decided to call any yellow sports car a Cheetah Car and any yellow SUV a Lion Car. I assume this goes back to our Halloween costume theme. So it's fun to name when we see them. Sort of like the old "slug bug" game without the violence. Ha!
As for deciding what kind of car they want, Hailey has determined she wants a yellow Chevrolet Camaro with Black stripes across the top. Paige wanted a red Chevrolet Cruz because it had mean looking eyes. But has since changed her mind to a Dooley Truck. (She says they have two wheels.)
Yep, they are growing up. I suppose their choice in cars could be worse, I remember I wanted a Ford Pinto for the longest time. Oh, my! In the meantime, it appears we have girls with expensive car taste, so either we need to teach them to save their pennies, or mama and dada better start! Vroom!

Outside lights
It was fun to figure out light configuration for the new house. I did buy the blow up Santa this year from Woot. The front yard needs bushes, so the lights had to stay on the house. It was still really pretty to drive up to at night.

Full day for Hailey
Hailey started full day Montessori at the beginning of December 2014. She did great adjusting! She goes Tues, Weds and Thursday. But by Thursday afternoon and especially Friday, she needs a nap and usually will go into her room, put on her jammies and snuggle up on her bed to nap. We are really proud of her.

Decorations
I'm really behind in posting these, but I had some in my drafts, so I can atleast get these up.
Here are pics of our holiday decorations. Frist time decorating the new house. I didn't buy anything new and tried to use what we have. I made it work. But have ideas for next year. :) Merry Christmas!
